Do not get fooled by this statistical illusion ! 4 series, 4 regressions,same statistics !
(Same mean, same variance, same correlation, but data and graphical display are completely different)
The Anscombe Quartet (4) is a famous principle explaining that even if you see the summary statistics of series it doesn’t tell how data is looking, visualisation is always ncessary to a complete understanding of what’s happening.
